Department of Archaeology has been granted approval to conduct excavations at the Byzantine site of Parnassos in Cappadocia. Luca Zavagno from the Departments of Archaeology and History will direct the project, in partnership with the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Professor Dominique Tezgör, Chair of the Department of Archaeology, also played a vital role in securing this important project for the department.
